Meito Sangyo’s Fine Chemical Products are created by microbial fermentation and chemical synthesis technologies.
Our high quality products (Dextrans, Dextran Derivatives, Microbial Enzymes and Mixed Feed) have been utilized as raw materials in various fields, such as pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, cosmetics, chemicals, food and animal feed for many years.

History of Meito Sangyo’s Fine Chemical Products
- In 1954
- Started manufacture and sales of “Dextran” for blood plasma substitute
- In 1959
- Started manufacture and sales of “Iron Dextran” for veterinary iron supplement
- In 1962
- Started manufacture and sales of “Dextran Sulfate Sodium” for hyperlipidemic agent
- In 1964
- Started manufacture and sales of “Lipase” for lipolytic enzyme
- In 1967
- Started manufacture and sales of “Microbial Rennet” for milk clotting enzyme for cheese making
Action for safe products
Hachioji Factory and Biwajima Factory have been complying with Good Manufacturing Practice (“Drugs/Quasi-drugs GMP Ordinance” in Japan) for pharmaceutical product and a part of quasi-drugs products.
Hachioji Factory and Komaki Factory have acquired FSSC 22000 certification.
Komaki Factory has been complying with Good Manufacturing Practice for feed.

Dextrans
＆ Dextran Derivatives
“Dextran” is one of the polysaccharides produced by lactic acid bacteria using sucrose as a raw material, and it is known for its high biocompatibility.
We supply “Dextran Derivatives” with enhanced functionality and added value by introducing various functional groups to dextran.
Additionally, we are manufacturing unique products by combining dextran derivatives with iron oxide nanoparticles possessing magnetism.
These products are used in various fields such as pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, cosmetics, industrial applications, food industry, etc.

Enzyme
“Enzyme” is a protein that acts as catalyst in biochemical reactions.
The use of “Enzyme” is recognized not only for its distinctive reactivity but also for its contribution to energy efficiency and reduction of environmental burdens.
All of our enzymes are produced by microbial fermentation and are utilized in a wide range of fields such as industrial applications, food industry, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, etc.

Mixed Feed
Our mixed feed can be used for a wide range of livestock species and various stages of growth.
Our mixed feed, “Prebiotics (containing dextran oligosaccharides)” and “Synbiotics (prebiotics with lactic acid bacteria)”, are expected to improve gut microbiota, enhancing feed efficiency and productivity.
